The ARRI ALEXA Mini LF Multi Viewfinder MVF-2 is a versatile unit offering simultaneous use of its high-resolution OLED viewfinder and 4″ flip-out monitor. Dual control dials, located on each side of the monitor, allow the MVF-2 to be operated from either side of the camera, making it flexible for both operators and assistants. Upgraded from the MVF-1, the MVF-2 features a detachable eyepiece, providing added convenience.
The MVF-2’s high-resolution, high-contrast OLED monitor, shared with the ALEXA LF EVF-2, offers consistent viewing when used with both cameras. The ARRICAM-style optical eyepiece includes a large exit pupil, allowing comfortable viewing with head movement flexibility. A built-in eyepiece heater, activated without cables, prevents fogging even in cold or humid conditions, ensuring a clear view.
An updated viewfinder cable with keyless CoaXpress connectors, available up to 33′ long, allows remote control and viewing. The 4″ monitor flips out, folds back with the screen visible, or flattens for single-operator use. With tilt capability and high daylight visibility, the MVF-2 is designed for convenient viewing in various settings.
Simultaneous operation lets the MVF-2 provide a view for an assistant or director while the operator uses the OLED eyepiece. A single operator can use the monitor’s control dial while viewing through the EVF or monitor. User-inspired features include an audio monitoring headphone jack and a slide-out card for noting camera or character details.
